I really like the effect, that is so common, where a part of the photo is sharp and the rest is blurred out. I understand the principle and the have an idea about how to achieve it, but I think I need a more appropriate lens.

Anyway, these were the best of the lot.

Julia came up with a plan to get me used to being in front of people - working with a couple of models that she knows.  So enter Mike and Jackie, slap on the oil and pose.  Simple as that, right?  Hmmm.  They were good to me - thanks everyone.

So this was what I got out of it.  Unedited for now.  If I edit them, that’ll be another post.

It’s not so easy to take pictures of yourself.  This is especially true when you’re standing under a waterfall!  Fortunately for me, I happen to know a bloody awesome photographer who took good care of me and the missus.  Ravengirl Photography captured some really cool shots and gave us what we wanted for our post-wedding album.  Thanks girls.
